Today I proclaim a new hashtag trend {because, apparently I think so highly of myself that I could actually start such a thing as a "trend"}

So here it is:

How many times have we heard our kids say something {adorable ... or ... embarrasing} that we should write down somewhere, but never actually do?

Not only am I SOOOO guilty of this neglect, my poor children don't even have baby books! {well, maybe I own them, but I could easily hawk them on Craig's List as new if an emergency presented itself}

And, as luck would have it ... DS#2 provided me with inspiration for this trend yesterday afternoon.

Now, I often find my children entertaining {rather than annoying} for the simple fact that going into Motherhood I was looking forward to the guaranteed endless entertainment.

Let me set the scene:

TT is working on a project for Speech & Debate, to order sweatshirts for the team before they head off to the State competition. As he is flipping through the apparel catalog he finds other options ... Hooded Sweatshirt, Zipped Sweatshirt, Blanket ... OH & sweatpants.

I'm witnessing this from accross the bar {pretending I'm tweeting on my laptop} when adorable DS#2 pipes up:

"I want a sweatshirt! It can say the team's little brother on it!" they both laugh, I giggle a little ~ enjoying the fact that they are being such great brothers to one another.

Then ... 

DS#2 non-chalantly adds "oh, I should get a pair of sweats too. I'm going to put THUNDER over the butt"

This comment has my attention. I look up puzzled & he says "well, that is where I fart from & that is what it sounds like sometimes."

Thank God I have a good sense of humor.

There was the moment of silence as I processed my 11 year old's brilliance ... then of course, I laughed {hysterically} & his brother laughed {equally hysterically} and about this time poor DH enters the room "what's so funny?"

Now since I don't have the appropriate resources to "create an app for that" I decided to start my own Twitter Hashtag Trend :-) #FTMOB

I will most likely be posting mine on Fridays, but I encourage all to post theirs as soon as they happen ... at least there will be a record of you capturing all the wonderful things they said!
