Expecting something fresh, upbeat & creative ... I immediately recognized the lyrics.

Hmmm, what to do.
If I confess that this is actually a remake of an 80's song I risk looking old & possibly too wise.

However, if I plug into the ignorant act then I look flat out stupid when the teenager figures it out!

So I rode the fence ...

"Oh, I like the beat! Who is this singing?"

Then I began to sing along

;-)

He looked at me puzzled. You know, that look - it asks "How do you know that?"

I smiled & said,

"Artist these days are doing such a great job on the remakes!"

Thankfully he's not a rebel without a cause! He just shook his head with that 'of course you know' & sang along too!

So, the question I pose to y'all -

How old should I feel that my kids are sharing remakes of my generation as new stuff?
